Requesting Reasonable Accommodations
Step 1: Submit a Student Request for Reasonable Accommodations
- You must use your NMT email for all forms.
- Provide any available documentation that indicates a history of a disability. If you are unable to upload your documentation to the form, please email it to studentaccess@npe.nmt.edu as an attachment.
- Monitor your NMT email for follow up communications from the SAS office.
Note: You should not delay meeting with us out of concern for not having the right paperwork. Your welcome meeting will cover specific third party documentation, as well as steps you should take after the meeting.
Step 2: Schedule a Welcome Meeting
- Once your have submitted your request, schedule your welcome meeting. Meetings last approximately 30 minutes and may be scheduled in person, via Zoom, or via Google Meets.
Step 3: Explore Options
- During the Welcome Meeting, our goal is to keep the meeting relaxed and comfortable. A member of Student Access Services staff will talk with you about the barriers or concerns you are experiencing, reasonable accommodations to address these obstacles, documentation requirements and next steps.
